TRS stands for Transitional Reentry Solutions, a unique venture planned for implementation in 2010 in Arizona. TRS is a “Small Business Networking” opportunity that helps convicted felons, substance abuse victims, and other disadvantaged persons reenter the community as gainfully employed law abiding Small Business Owners. This opportunity isn’t for everybody, although anybody with basic communication skills and a High School Diploma (or equivalent) is qualified to participate.
The fact is that not everybody understands how hard a business owner has to work or how much responsibility the job entails. Ironically enough, 70% of today’s prison inmates have what is known as “Hustle”. As a result of burning bridges with family and friends, they are forced to survive and support themselves within the prison microcosm. This creates a dynamic work ethic that can become a transferable skill when properly managed and encouraged.
TRS participants will earn a minimum wage salary and live onsite at the TRS facility. This complex has deluxe accommodations. a full service kitchen, and quality recreation facilities. In addition to earning a salary, residents do not pay for food, housing transportation, medical or utilities. The wage is to build savings and pay for fines, restitution, child support, etc. In addition to the wage, participants will keep 50% of all profits generated from the business TRS opens for them.
If this all sounds too good to be true, then please feel free to review the TRS Intellectual Property draft. Years of research and planning have gone into this project. TRS will work to give hope back to people who once believed they were trapped by past mistakes and help reduce crime in our communities by working to change criminal thinking into positive behavior.
